Teamworks Karting based in Birmingham in the West Midlands run a fleet of indoor karts using Etek motors. These things run in shifts all day, seven days a week. One set on track, the other set drinking current from Zivan NG7 chargers at around 100 amps. They carry four Optima Yellowtops (55Ah) and a Zapi controller (I think) in a fairly conventional Kart chassis. They're not far off the weight of some motorcycle conversions and are geared for about 40 mph. The BVS has had a couple of sessions up there and a good chat to the staff. They're not having and problems with the motors other than catching brush wear before it causes damage. http://www.teamworkskarting.com/birmingham.html Paul Compton www.evguru.co.uk www.sciroccoev.co.uk www.bvs.org.uk www.morini-mania.co.uk www.compton.vispa.com/the_named Albuquerque, NM http://geocities.com/hendersonmotorcycles/blog.html http://www.austinev.org/evalbum/1000 http://www.austinev.org/evalbum/1179 http://www.austinev.org/evalbum/1221 http://geocities.com/solarcookingman --------------------------------- Need a vacation?
