chopper is slow but steady, i'm not rushing as i would not have been able to
get it done for prime riding season any way, so i'm shooting for spring now,
plus a slow pace means less mistakes [$$$].
what is the HP on that sepex? what kind of controllers do they have for
sepex that allow high amps and regen?

Hey Dale, I'm planning on buying a Zivan charger pretty soon and was
told that it is convertable from AGM to lithium by swapping out a chip. I'm
switching from 48V to 72 V on my next bike and I won't be able to get another
Soniel charger cuz they only go up to 48V. I really like the Soniel charger
even if it is kinda wimpy. I have 4 x 55AH AGM and my charging philosophy is
that slow charging will extend battery life. I think the Soniel puts out about
3.5 amps and I ain't in no big hurry anyway.(gotta sleep sometime)
Howz that chopper project? Mines comming along OK, Just ordered the D&D sepex
and Curtis controller. I'm converting my frame to rigid to loose weight. I plan
on sticking the motor shaft out the right side of the frame, driving a jack
shaft that connects to the 70 tooth rear pulley on the left side with a 1 1/8"
cogbelt. This setup will allow me to change ratios easier (on the outside,
right side of the frame). Later, Bob

Subject: [ElectricMotorcycles] agm battery chargers
since i can not afford lithium my next bike will be powered by sealed lead
acid most likely AGM.
i will have a 48 volt system with a parallel/series setup for about a 7kwh
system. i'm using a Zivan NG1 right now for my current bike but those are
floodies, i've heard that Zivans tends to cook sealed lead acids.
so what do you all think is the best charger for 'large' AGM 48 volt battery
pack?
i was thinking about individual chargers? but i was also thinking about
using powercheqs
