Is anybody interested in CVT Transmissions? I've never tried one on an electric
bike, but it works purdy good on my drill press. I think the problem with
aftermarket CVT transmissions (Like Hoffco/Comet, for instance) is that they
disengage and reengage at some ? RPM to allow internal combustion engines to
idle (Putt, Putt, Putt, ...) These transmissions are being used on snowmobiles,
ATV's, GoKarts, Minibikes, etc...I've been trying to figure out which one to
buy and modify into a manually operated CVT that is always engaged, exactly
like my drill press. I would gladly gut my drill press, but it's only rated for
fractional HP. If we can put our heads together we can develop a pretty cool
bike tranny. Transmissions will help us go faster! Later, Bobcat
