Hi Bill and all,

Cliff Rassweiler, Andrew Roddy, and myself all have over 100 mile range on
our EVs, so no problem there for us on the range issue for the SunDay
Challenge road rally.

Could those of you with lead-acid conversions please answer Bill's question
below about whether your cars can manage 35 miles? How about 47 miles?

I guess to some extent it depends on the speed driven. ... Which is a
question back to you, Bill: What roads and speeds are you anticipating for
this year's SunDay Challenge road rally? If you're talking about 45 mph or
less, I'd guess many could go 35 miles. At 35 mph or less, I'd think a fair
number could go 47 miles. But if there are substantial portions of the
course at 50 mph and above, that might be a problem for many of our
lead-acid conversions to make those kind of range numbers.  I don't know;
you guys with lead-acid conversions who would like to participate in this
event again this year please chime in on this.
