Gregory:
I suggest pointing people towards EVs coming onto the market. You might
mention that Commuter Cars is selling Tango EVs now, that the first Tesla
Roadster was just delivered, and that Phoenix Motor Cars is now delivering SUT
EVs to fleet customers.
Also, Subaru and Mitsubishi will sell highway-capable EVs to Japanese
consumers in 2009 and 2010 (when the Volt hits the US market -if it does.)

Hi everyone,
Well, I emailed Danielle Dubetz at WPTV and explained to her how I felt about
her covering EV's. I included my feelings as an Iraqi War veteran and how I am
all for alternative fuel resources.
Now, she wants to interview me on camera. My brother, Scott, gave me some good
tips about points I should mention. Does anyone else have anything they'd like
me to try to "plug in" for this potential interview?
Thanks.

Hello Everyone,
I would like to ask a big favor from everyone.
As electric vehicles are becoming more recognized and understood, the media
is taking notice.
Most coverage comes from the internet, some from print media, but now it's
even on the evening news.
I think we should all do our best to cultivate a good relationship with the
media as the opportunity arises.
Danielle Dubetz from WPTV News Channel 5 did a great story on the AC
Propulsion eBox, along with her camera crew and support staff.
It would be really helpful if everyone would send her an email to thank her
for the great coverage, along with their name and where they are from; and
also to encourage her to continue to cover electric vehicles in the future.
I'm sure she and her staff would be impressed to see how far her story has
gone.
We should not underestimate the power of positive feedback.
We all need support in our efforts to improve our lives and our standard of
living, and hopefully have some fun in the process.
By the way, it was Danielle who pitched the idea to her boss and followed
through with the story to its completion.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Best Regards,
Andrew Roddy

I watched Who Killed the Electric Car with my mom and grandmother on
Saturday night. It made my mom cry. I had seen it twice already, the
first time I saw it in theaters it just was upsetting; the second
time I watched it, it made me cry. This time, I am just kind of
confused why car manufacturers aren't selling plug-in hybrids
already, we need them now! My grandmother is borrowing it from me to
show it on her retirement community's TV channel, yay!
I'm not currently a member, but now that I know I'll be in FL for at
least the next year, I want to join. I had a question about
membership though, online there is only one option: National EAA (FL
chapter) $39; but on the .pdf form there are 3 options: FLEAA only
$25, National EAA only $37, and FLEAA and National EAA $50. I'm
guessing the online option is the same as the second option on the
form? What's the difference between the options?
Thanks,
Katie Robinson

Hi Katie,
Our online form is out of date, especially since the Florida EAA board just
voted to match the National membership setup. It will be best to just join at
the national site at www.eaaev.org and please specify Florida as your local
chapter.
We look forward to having you as a member!
