I put a calendar on the board. Per 1 Monday/Tuesday...Per 2
Wednesday/Thursday I found I can adjust it as necessary. I don't grade the
stuff we did that day, as mostly it is unfinished. But I expect the other
stuff to be done. Many would wait until the last minute to finish stuff if
I warned them about collection time. I go through this process about every
three weeks...I'd like to do it more next year. The list of activites/notes
gets so long that all I do is check off whether something is in there or
not. I'd rather have a separate response book that can be turned in more
often purely for response...not grading per se. Then I can grade the
"notes" less often.

I was thinking of investing some money, or some time begging, in two drawer
file cabinets for each class. Some notebooks can be stored in the file
cabinets when not in use. If I can find heavy duty ones, I can put my
bookshelves in them. They are short and I have to crawl on my hands and
knees to find books on the bottom shelf...
