Oh Tena, 
This made me laugh!! I hate to admit it, but I really DO judge a book by its
cover and no matter how I love the author, etc., I really hate picking up a
book I don't like. Case in point: I'm a HUGE Barbara Kingsolver fan, yet I
hate the cover of the Poisonwood Bible and have never managed to read it,
even though my reading group still insists its an all-time fav.

I think it's important to point out to kids that publishers change the
covers a lot without changing the content (I usually show them my old
Outsiders, circa 1970 with today's version.)
