Tena - are you asking whether RTI will make it harder for your kids to get 
additional support? I honestly don't think so - I think it will be easier. I 
think the harder thing will be for you as the teacher to document what you 
do. (time consuming) That documentation will be what will substantiate that 
you have a) a curriculum that meets most students' needs, b) have tried 
interventions (research-based) with this child, c) have gotten additional 
support from your Title I teacher (that s/he will most likely document), and 
the student's needs still aren't being met. I get very frustrated when the 
'discrepancy model' is quoted as being the reason a student won't get the 
support and time that s/he needs. I don't think that is working.
