I think many of us would be interested in your strategies for improving
state standardized reading scores.

PS...there's nothing wrong with self celebration as we need to celebrate our
successes as no one else will. Let's see if they write an article in your
local news about that, probably not but wouldn't be surprised if they wrote
about the schools that failed.

Our State Scores came in...our school with the highest poverty of the three
middle schools in the system and the lowest IQs  of the three kicked the
pants off their sister schools.. Even the kids who failed the total LA
component passed the writing part...yippeee... sorrry, self-celebration is
special for the soul...and it alliterates. :) I made our principal a
sweatshirt with an excel graph on the front that represented our
scores...gloat, gloat, gloat.....
