Awesome resource and in depth coverage for Bloom's Taxonomy for the Dig. Age. I previewed the work and immediately bookmarked it. It's extensive and gives a big picture of learning and communicating in this age. Big picture. Thanks, Tena.

BTW, I just finished putting together a Poetry Slam intro for grade eight. It's on Google Docs. I'd appreciate your feedback. This slam is new for us and so the presentation just serves as an overview. We're collaborating throughout the presentation on Google Docs. For example, they're chosing a notetaking strategy and doing some research on the history of poetry slams and posting their info on a GD.

Awesome work you're doing, Tena. You are the epitome of using today's technology in your classes. I learn so much from your work.

I am co-facilitating a professional development group based on Jim

Taxonomy for the Digital Age," that included new skills for today's
learners and the resources at hand. This is an awesome resource.

We re-evaluated some of our current lessons that use "tried and true"
strategies for learning and updated them to, (excuse the over-used
term), 21st Century Standards. The idea was to keep the important
elements of a lesson and incorporate or modify components to update
for today's learner. My example. I love sharing Henry Wadsworth
Longfellow to explore narrative poetry. "The Wreck of the Hesperus" is
a chilling account of a sea captains voyage that included his young
daughter. My kids read, recite and write, ( tried and true),
additional stanza's from the daughter's point of view. Our new end
product includes a Keynote of images paced to the poem complete with
sounds and movement. The presentation includes their stanzas recorded
in a podcast and incorporated into the Keynote. They use many time
honored techniques as well as up to date technology.
How have or could you update a lesson?
Could you share your ideas?
