Ken, if you shopping for a boat wind generator, you should ignore the 
900w rating.

Snake oil works well during high winds. Be careful about inflated wind 
generator ratings, computed at ridiculous wind speeds.

That Whisper is only rated at 900 Watts when the wind blows at 28 mph. 
How often will you be enjoying your boat at that wind speed?

Sailors need to compare generators at a more realistic wind speed. The 
Whisper 100 generates a feeble 50 to 100 Watts approx at about 10 mph. 
There may be more effective ways to spend your money?
