And yet another option for 12v refrigeration is the StoneCold unit from Nau-t-kol here in Trinidad. Very similar to the Frigoboat and Isotherm units, as it also uses the Danfoss BD50 compressor, but it uses fresh water from the fresh-water tank for heat exchange. Claim is it works with as little as 5 gallons in the tank and heats your fresh water less than a degree.
This one can operate even when the boat's on the hard, whereas the Frigoboat and Isotherm can't be. We're having 2 units installed next week, so I should be able to give a first-hand review in a couple of months.
