Sound absorption wont likely result from a thin coating of cork. Cork is a nice ergonomic surface, but its long term durability, washability, and function as an insulator/sound dampener is questionable.
All the sound insulation- a dual foam coated with fiber reinforced reflective mylar- totally disintegrated in my boat. I think the insulation was the standard type typically used in engine rooms. It turned to a black crumbly powder. Needless to say when I re-insulate I wont be buying that type. Does anyone have any other brand names that are proven to work? _______________________________________________ Liveaboard mailing list [email protected] To adjust your membership settings over the web http://www.liveaboardnow.org/mailman/listinfo/liveaboard To subscribe send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] The archives are at http://www.liveaboardnow.org/pipermail/liveaboard/ To search the archives http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] The Mailman Users Guide can be found here http://www.gnu.org/software/mailman/mailman-member/index.html
