You can support the engine with a small $15 hydraulic jack, one side or end at a time. After supporting the motor it may be easiest to unbolt the brackets from the motor. Trouble spots: The nuts on the large vertical stud and the bolts into the frame rails, get some PB Blaster or Kroil and lube for several days in advance. You may want to replace the frame rail bolts, be aware that they may be metric. In my case, there were batteries beside the motor, removing them was well worth the effort. You may need a lot of socket extensions a socket universal joint and a LONG breaker bar or extension pipe handle for your ratchet. When finished, a wrench cut in half that fits the adjusting nuts (Usually 15/16") is very helpful. PYI sells good mounts. I just found out that my motormounts seem to be shot, there is a wobble in the shaft and one of the mounts is bulging. Any good ideas of how to change them without taking out the engine. They are Volvo md17c mounts Thanks all ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Liveaboard mailing list [email protected] To adjust your membership settings over the web http://www.liveaboardnow.org/mailman/listinfo/liveaboard To subscribe send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] The archives are at http://www.liveaboardnow.org/pipermail/liveaboard/ To search the archives http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] The Mailman Users Guide can be found here http://www.gnu.org/software/mailman/mailman-member/index.html ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ No virus found in this incoming message.
