Could you have your friend write a email about his experiences with the Air Head?
I notice that on the Air Head web site the page for Environmental Impact is blank. What are the legal ramifications of dumping pee overboard? I have heard that while it is legal to pee overboard, it is illegal to pee into a bucket and then dump the bucket overboard. A problem with the Lavac I hear is that it uses a lot of water, thus requiring emptying the holding tank more often. Although I don't know the numbers for the Lavac, but we use about a pint of fresh water for each flush in our traditional style head.
