I have found that the Jabsco heads last a reasonable time with very little maintenance. It is more cost effective to replace them when on their Spring sale than to rebuild. I pour a small amount of veggie oil into it on occasion to lube it. The joker valve needs replacing ($12) every year or two, other than that, I've not had problems. I keep spare joker valves on the boat, 5 minute replacement.

I can't afford to put a $400+ head in the boat right now. That is why I am looking at the stuff in the sub $200 range. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Lew Hodgett Sent: Tuesday, February 05, 2008 12:30 PM To: liveaboard@liveaboardnow.org Subject: Re: [Liveaboard] Heads Densler, Vernon wrote: > My Jabsco died after very little use and so I am trying to decide if I > should just get the Wilcox this time instead of the rebuild kit for the > Jabsco.
