I have two Raritan PH II heads and a Lectrosan that have been nearly trouble
free for 32 years (installed in 1975). I have rebuilt the heads once in that
time (about 1983) -- nothing since. The Lectrosan (I have the early Diamond
Shamrock version) occassionally blows a fuse and I had to replace the timer
three years ago. All-in-all, I have no complaints with either the heads or the
treatment system.

Vern:

We like our 13 year old Raritan Electrosan a lot. A few months ago, we had to
replace the circuit board (probably corrosion) and the factory support was
excellent. If I recall correctly, the board cost less than $100.00 and the
unit has worked flawlessly ever since. We really don't miss the pump outs at
all.

I have heard good things about the Raritan but the cost on that unit is
almost $400 and probably would be that after shipping. I don't think
anyone local has it.

At this point anything has to be better than Jabsco though. Even a

bucket with a seat on top would out perform it.

We had a Groco Model K (I think) on an earlier boat. Well made, little
trouble but expensive head. I have had a Jabsco head also and had lots
of trouble with it. My current boat has a Raritan PHII head and I am

very happy with it. If it ever needs replacing, I'll likely replace
with same.
