That's good to hear, Sam. On our way back up the coast to Georgia, we may need to spend a couple of days at Eau Gaile to test the new "no visit" policy. We're in Key West now and will start the trip back in the near future.
I wish the whole world would take a lesson from Boot Key Harbor at Marathon Key. What a great place and the marina is run by the city itself. People stop for a day or two and end up staying for several months. Some have been there for years. When we finally left the harbor after a couple of months, the bridge tender at the entrance refused to open the bridge for us until we promised him we would come back real soon. Yes, there are a few borderline derelict boats there, but they don't stay that way very long. They get towed away after a very short time. What a concept! There are very few week-enders in the harbor and the cruisers do a very good job of policing themselves. It's a very friendly place and the folks in town are obviously glad the cruisers are there. It is, by far, the best marina we have found so far. Not the fanciest, but the Phil McGovern s/v Sunshine On Sun, Apr 27, 2008 at 6:56 PM, Sam Densler <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Actually, I think that all of the stink we made plus the events in Marco > Island have made folks think a bit.
