  I've done it with Toshiba, Dell, and Compaq computers, and maybe
others that I don't remember what brand they were over the past 10
years.  The laptops have sometimes bit the dust, but it wasn't from
that.  (i.e. you can't blame the laptop for failing if it is outside
in a downpour, gets thoroughly soaked and then decides not to boot
anymore)
