Norm, My marina, Oyster Cove Marina in South San Francisco, has a mobile pump out 'wagon' that uses an electric pump. Our slips are all 'finger' floating dock slips so one can place the wagon alongside the boat, plug into an extension cord and pump out easily. I would recommend pumping no more than 30 or so gallons and doing it at high tide to ease the strain of pulling the wagon up the ramp when it is full. I bought a "Waste Caddy" from West Marine in 1998 so I would not be at the mercy of the then unreliable wagon. It has since been replaced, but people keep forgetting to set it's brake, so it has gone swimming a number of times. I am STILL glad I have my own pump out caddy...
