When you are trying to attach a solar panel or genset to the grid how does
the source match phases and maintain a higher voltage to add to the grid
instead of becoming a load? Is there a transformer joining the circuits? How
is the phase adjusted and locked in or cleaned up or does this just become
a function of voltage and the phases blend? Do the power companies clean up
the phase and voltage and take out extraneous stuff? These may not be
valid questions, but I don't have a clue. Any simple explanations? Thanks
