I've heard lots of stories of people in graveyards looking for their
ancestor's burial plots and something calls them to look in a place
that they've already looked.

When I heard that my dad had died, I had to go to the airport to pick
up my husband. He was tired from a long flight and didn't want to
drive back home. I guess I was on autopilot - I came to an
intersection where there wasn't usually any traffic. Looked left and
pulled right out in front of a car that was coming - didn't expect to
see him and so I didn't. Fortunately, he saw me and there was no
accident.

I have also been on the boat at night coming in the channel from a
long trip and Bob told me (incorrectly) that I just needed to head for
the bridge - that there were no more markers.

What's that reflecting in my running lights???

OMG it is a day marker. Which I swerved and missed.
