I wouldn't be so sure about that; I can hear the fan on my electric
heater, which tells me that at least some of the energy is coming out as
noise. Of course, the amount of energy tugning into noise instead of
heat is, statistically speaking, noise :)

P.S. Yes, a large part of the motivation for writing this was so that I
could use 2 different definitions of "noise" to refer to noise as noise.
