Would be checking hose size, volume and fittings for restrictions in both  
(top burner stuff) and the oven.
I did help one party clean out all of the rust from the cast diffusers with 
 a drill bit.

Force 10 seems to be what there is. Am I wrong? Does someone  have a 
different brand that they like? 
The only other brand I am aware of has people griping worse than what you  
have mentioned, so I won't relate that one.
