They even set a fire. Said boat, the Chikuzen, drifted away awaiting its fate at the hands of said storm only to drift all the way to the BVI, through the Ginger Island Passage before attempts were made to guide or steer her to a safe passage. The hurricane had changed course. This drifting boat had made the 90-something mile journey and slipped through the passage without problem.
