The LFS LiveCD Team is proud to announce the release of the x86-6.2-pre3
version of the LFS LiveCD. This version is built using LFS SVN and BLFS
packages from the svn branch. Packages for LFS SVN are included on the
LiveCD. New features:
* Xorg-7.0.0 (stripped down) included
* Completely switched X applications to using TrueType fonts. Core X
bitmap fonts are no longer installed.
* Xterm, Ion and twm are removed. Please use XFCE and XFCE Terminal instead.
* SAMBA: only clients are installed, servers are removed
* Seamonkey-1.0 replaced Firefox and Thunderbird
* Initramfs bug causing the LiveCD to hang before starting init is now
fixed (?)
* Initial addition of BRLTTY
Please test OpenGL support in new Xorg by running xdriinfo and xglock.
Report any lockups together with the "lspci -n" output to the BLFS
Support List.
