Hello,
I can not boot this LiveCD on my IBM ThinkPad R30 (error message follow).
I think, this is a kernel issue related to my notebook. Do I need .config
file to report this to kernel team? If yes, which svn command I shall use to
get the proper one?
The config file is available through the web interface:
http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/livecd/browser/trunk/packages/linux/config.x86?rev=1079&format=raw
But you certainly don't want to report it to LKML because the LiveCD
kernel is very old. No update is planned officially, because LFS and
CLFS implement udev differently. CLFS says that the transition is
suspended until linux-2.6.16, and LFS doesn't do this 100% correctly.
Jeremy: is it OK for me to do the LiveCD udev transition separately?
This would probably involve installing the 2.6.16-rc4 kernel (works fine
here), because 2.6.15 is too old for full functionality of the new udev.
irq 15: nobody cared!
Try typing "linux noapic pci=noacpi" at the boot prompt, this helps with
misrouted IRQ issues.
Recursive die() failure, output suppressed
This is a rather useless report :(
