Hi, I finally got a chance to download the new 6.2-pre4 cd today and it booted fairly well in my old AMD k6-2 300mhz laptop with 128mb ram. Pcmcia was found and dialup worked. Looks like maybe I can start this time. I am having a very slow load though, due to, I think, a cdrom problem. When it first began occurring I thought the boot would fail but somehow it kept pulling it out and finnally finished. Took about 10 minutes. Startx was fun too:) dmesg shows what I was seeing. Below is where the first error occurs in the boot and was repeated about 18 , 8 , and 13 times on 3 different boots.
What may be some things to try to get this to run better?
Try burning another cd from the iso? or could this be my cdrom......
Thanks,Howard
