Ah OK.
1) there were some errors with encoding in svn. I have fixed this now,
so you should update from current svn.
2) there was a minor issue in backups since 1.6.0
you can fix this by editing /usr/bin/smogrify as root, and change:
$name=substr("000000",$len) . $nexthundred . "*";
to:
$name=substr("000000",$len) . $nexthundred . "\"*\"";
But don't worry, you will never lose your work as it will be saved in
the current clipset.
