Ok, maybe it is about the project file - or it might be that any sufficiently large/complex project has problems.
I tried this in the commit where the fix to the Opulenz plugin was in, ie. 440da8. I tried exporting a simple project with one instrument track and one bbtrack, and it rendered fine, even though it was >7 minutes long. Then I tried exporting my project, and it stops again around 16% - I can see it visually, from both the fx mixer and the spectrum analyser, the master output just drops to zero even though the other fx channels are still active and show output. I'm going to go backwards now from that commit to pinpoint where this problem starts.
