Thing is alot of these apps are also releasing a mobile version. Like 
garageband on OSX allows one to compose a song and if i am correct save it to 
the cloud to be opened on a computer through iCloud.

Again  you are right to say hey i just got this idea while on the bus get out 
the tablet tap it down and you have it synced to the cloud when you get home 
continue it on your pc.
