Yes, but just because others are doing something doesn't always mean LMMS has to. We don't have to chase all the latest trends. We should evaluate what is the best course of action for LMMS, especially considering limited developer resources. > Again you are right to say hey i just got this idea while on the bus get out > the tablet tap it down and you have it synced to the cloud when you get home > continue it on your pc. Yes, but is that the only use case for it? That seems like a lot of work for a pretty marginal case. Also there are problems: Mobile devices do not have as much computing power as desktop computers, and won't for quite some time - so you'd be quite limited in what you could do on a mobile LMMS, you couldn't eg. have as many tracks, as many instruments/effects - so as soon as the project on your home computer grows big enough to not work on mobile, you can no longer work on it on the mobile... I kind of think it'd be better for there to be a separate project for a open source mobile DAW, one that's designed from the ground up to run on mobile devices and optimized for them, while LMMS would concentrate on being as good on the desktop as possible. There could still be some synchronization options between them, like importing projects from one to the other. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ CenturyLink Cloud: The Leader in Enterprise Cloud Services.
