I like the new sliders!
SVG can be themed using CSS, so it would be nice to have both svg and
bitmaps, as inkscape can export to png files. Inkscape has a lot of
features that would make designing UI pieces pretty easy (shapes,
grid-snapping, shadows, different types of fills, etc...) You can
change the SVG with CSS, so SVG could be themable in the future (i.e.
change all know colors to blue) I understand the backend support is not
there yet, but it would save a step in the future.... plus you could
host the finished files on openclipart.org (which facilitates easy
remixing).
I am somewhat of an advocate for vector graphics, so ignore this if you
feel you must your raster graphics, but I think the advantages are
pretty big (there could be standard 'templates' for each UI element for
future redesigns)....
But, Vesa you are rockin' it, so keep going and don't let my SVG plug
stop you :)
