That's really what I'm driving at -- sort of.

Ableton's session view -- by default -- just loops segments and let's you
"stack" on top.  This is extremely useful if you are trying to adjust
timing or layer instruments.

LMMS supports this via the playlist, but you can't easily say to LMMS, "ok,
loop my first two trakcs , regardless of length until I push stop".
Instead one is left using the song editor for temporary layering, which
those seasoned with LMMS do instinctively, but looks as IS awkward in
comparison to -- say -- a jam band doing something similar.

Ableton does this right because it was designed to be a live tool.

I don't want to play chop-sue with LMMS' interface, but this functionality
of "live auto-looping" could be a game changer for the creative process.

That make sense?
