As awkward as this is for me to say, I'm not 100% sure anymore. Almost
every 64bit DAW I've owned/used had issues with 32bit VSTs unless I used a
VST bridge, including LMMS; however, I just tested 3 that use to give me no
end of headaches, and they all worked with out a hitch. It seems LMMS has
incorporate a decent 32bit to 64bit bridge, sadly it doesn't seems to do
reverse bridging for 64bit VSTs on 32bit systems. The only reason I can
think of to have both versions installed is for double checking the 32bit
build, other than that... I've been burned so many times by 64 bit hosts
not being able to load 32bit VSTs that I habitually install a 32bit version
just in case something doesn't work. :)
