Well, not exactly... you need to remember that Carla on LMMS is still
experimental and should not be recommended for production use. Some
crucial features are still missing, such as support for using Carla as
an effect plugin (instrument only for now), and automations are not
supported at all yet.

We should probably advise people who build binaries, even on Linux, to
not include Carla in their builds, and leave it only for people who
self-compile for now.

But yeah, it's still a great step forwards for LMMS, and eventually it's
going to offer some pretty cool functionality for us. I just don't want
people to get too excited (and thus disappointed) at this point in time.

AFAIK Carla doesn't yet run on Windows at all, so bundling for Windows
is right out until/unless someone ports it for Windows. And frankly,
even then, I don't really see that much benefit in doing so - how many
LV2/DSSI plugins are there available on Windows? How many Windows users
are willing to port/compile those plugins on their platform? Windows
users already have plenty of native VST plugins, and Carla isn't likely
to improve on LMMS's VST compatibility there...
