accepting the MIDI clock might help, but i still need info about the
time signature.

not so crazy, i had the same. i don't really like it, but i think it's
the best we can do; the alternative is to hardcode functionality into
MusE, and i don't want that.
Or we create a MusE-specific plugin interface (like MESS, or even
extending it?). But then i'd rather prefer a not-so-nice solution which
can be used with different programs as well.



do you have any idea how to let the plugin display stuff within MusE?
(i.e., the plugin shall have its custom arranger control track.)

i've thought of a shared object which is given the data from the plugin
(it will expose all configuration stuff via LADSPA for the sake of
non-MusE audio software anyway) by MusE, a QPainter and information
about tempomap etc, and shall draw its stuff into this QPainter.

better ideas?
