Howdy. KUbuntu here. Jack2 from stock package.
But again, I'm on the last distro - there is an upgrade which I haven't 
 done yet. So I'm a bit out of date.

Quick test of Calf Compressor and Calf MultiChorus as you describe,
 no crashes seen yet, but...

Many times the GUI does not complete opening - that is, I get a blank
 container window but no contents. Closing and reopening may make 
 it show, or may not.
Not sure if this affects any other plugin brands... Will test.

For example I just closed and reopened Calf Compressor GUI for
 the nth time in a row and this time it was blank. All I see in terminal is 
 this, but I get the same whether it opens or not:

CALF DEBUG: instance 0xb321e80 data 0xb45463c
CALF DEBUG: calf 0xa81dc9e8 cpi 0xa7a22930
Send configures...
