Hi, Robert!

At last!
Compiled calf from git and now also have crashes! It's time to debug :).

Regards,
Andrew

Tried building calf.git from scratch on the kubuntu install, most plugins crash, only Calf Vintage Delay survive closing the gui. To be absolutely clear, starting MusE, inserting a plugin on the Out 1 rack is all I do.

All for today,
Robert

Oookay, let me backpedal on that just a bit.
I'm not sure what I changed or if I never really tested it after
your last fixes, the calf compressor fails the same on my kubuntu
    installation.

Andrew, which version of calf were you using, did you try the
    git+git://repo.or.cz/calf.git <http://repo.or.cz/calf.git>?

Think I'll give that one another go on the kubuntu install.
    Be right back.

        Hi guys,

I've been using ArchLinux on one install lately to get that
extra little performance. First time I tried it, very
interesting experience coming from (k)ubuntu, where mostly
everything is preconfigured. Doing it from scratch is
something I haven't done in 15 years ;) Took a bit more time
to get up to speed the first time but I'd say it's worth it.

The reason for my experimentation was to see if I could
squeeze some extra performance out of my live computer, still
inconclusive though there are some definite improvements, and
the install is just tiny :).

However, to cut to the chase, I do have the same type of
problems with closing LV2 guis as I reported earlier. It's not
behaving well with the calf plugins, the compressor
consistently crashes muse and removes the stack trace.

Tim, aren't you running Arch? I suppose it's working just fine
        for you?

Everything I've installed is from the repositories.
calf package from the user repository(aur), meaning it's built
        on-demand from git+git://repo.or.cz/calf.git
        <http://repo.or.cz/calf.git>
        - Hmm, maybe that is the difference.. On the other install I
think I got calf from falktx, which isn't the same.

Sadly my testing is a bit disorganized as I've been trying to
use it at the same time..
I'll report more as I go!

        Regards,
        Robert
