Nice demos, RJ. Good showcasing.

I know we'll probably get some usual complaints about how the
 midi config dialog currently operates, for example the naming of our 
 midi devices - when viewed in QJackCtl our Jack midi port names
 look long and unwieldy.
I will do what I can to make the experience better.

My persistent ports work is coming along. I should avoid big 
 announcements during my work because fate has a way of slapping 
 me in the face afterwards and saying "No, it won't work - rip it up".
Hence two major rewrites after my last post, but I am pleased
 with the results. Full tests yesterday were positive. 
Hopefully this will work.

Qt5... Yes, the elephant in the room as I said before, which we may
 not be able to ignore much longer...
