Not marked as spam but I see it was on the CC list so I can't say if it got
through to the mailinglist.

I just started watching the videos, some good stuff in there, even learned
a few things about MusE I didn't know about :D
Lots of interesting editing functionality in Ardour also, a lot of it is
already available in MusE but we definitely fall short.
As for routing drumgizmo in MusE. WIth MusE 2.x, only stereo-out is
supported so it would not work correctly. With 3.0 multi-output plugins are
supported and drumgizmo should be possible to load right into MusE to get
all the routing possibiities you need.
However, there's a ticket for drumgizmo right now that I haven't really
kept track of, so in reality there may be some issues left.

Simpledrums can do drum-machine like drums quite easily (one sample per
drum) but for life like drums it's not so well suited. Drumgizmo has
multisampled drums, meaning that every drum is recorded many many times
with different velocity, and then ordered so the samples are played just at
certain midi velocities. This gives a more lifelike drum sound.
It would have been good if they included a mixer into drumgizmo though, a
lot of clicking to route everything..
