Ah, yes, you are right, I was confused.
I had been going through the Changelog to weed out the 3.0 parts that makes
most sense to put in the release note and came across a line about
multichannel support and thought: - Oh was it so recent? Must be, says so
here. And didn't think more of it til now. ;)

Since drumgizmo exposes both stereo pairs and mono channels, maybe that's
easier to handle in the new version?

It should be noted that the routing the video author does for drumgizmo is
only for pre-production, it is not fit for actually using the drumkit.
To use it for real, each drum should be routed to an individual Group or
Track so everything has a volume and pan knob (and possibility for adding
effects).
