I mentioned recently the Arranger freezes depending on what Qt style you choose. You can get it to eventually work OK by playing with the style Setting. Usually Gtk, Fusion, and Windows work fine. I, uh, assume you guys get that too?
Sadly this bug is NOT fixed in SUSE Leap. However I did make some progress. I mentioned that you can observe this bug on *buntu simply by opening Qt5 QtCreator or QtDesigner and dropping an MDI area and some MDI sub-windows onto a widget, and viewing the form with Breeze or Oxygen style. The sub-windows do NOT respond at all. Well, here on SUSE they have the complete Qt5 Oxygen theme to install, as well as Breeze and a SUSE theme already installed. On my KUbuntu, a complete Oxygen theme did not seem available, thus you are stuck with just Breeze, although other aspects like icons, colours and windows can use Oxygen. So I discovered that on SUSE, the above test PASSES when I'm on the Breeze desktop or SUSE desktop theme, but it FAILS when on the Oxygen theme ! On KUbuntu I use a /mix/ of the Breeze overall theme /and/ Oxygen for the rest. Could that have been the problem? Here on SUSE I thought "Yay, maybe with these extra themes choosing the right one would actually fix MusE". But as I said above, no luck, MusE still broken. Strange since Designer and Creator now actually /work/. I now suspect that they way we set the application style in our code may need some tender loving care. Will check. Hang in there folks. Let's hope the next Qt updates also help. Tim. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mobile security can be enabling, not merely restricting.
