Hi Tim, Thanks for your information. I had already looked into that forum thread at
https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1457334 , but I was not aware of that this forum thread might be a solution. I am still a kind of beginner in terms of music generation under Linux, sorry. I am still learning. Well, that forum thread that you told me to look into tells me to change the settings in qjackctl. I did that, i.e. I speciefied there "hw:Live" as the output device, and "hw:CODEC,0" as the input device. But then in MusE recording my bass with the Behringer Guitar Link does not produce any sound in the Wave track. Ubuntu Studio 16.04 has a programme which displays among other things input and output devices. This programme can be accessed via the task bar (located at the top) with a click on that loudspeaker symbol left to the displayed date and time. This programme shows the following entry on the output and input device tab when I plug the Behringer Guitar Link into an USB slot: "PCM2902 Audio Codec Analog Stereo". It is set to 100% (0 dB) I think this information does not help further. > SBLive card eh? Yes, I currently cannot afford a new sound card, but hopefully at a later time. I hope it wasn't desaster for you to fix all these bugs in the SB driver. Regards, Jens Am Freitag, 30.
