If you are using audio inside muse you can get something like this with
group tracks.
Basically you route all audio (wave/synth) tracks that belong together into
a group track. Then this can be used as a common adjustment point where you
can change volume, pan, solo and mute.

What I think we could use, to take arrangement structure further are folder
tracks. A specific kind of track that is used mainly to visualize that
tracks belong together, you drag and drop other tracks on it to put them
inside.
Something like this:
[-] [Folder track for string section]
  \- contained wave track
   |- contained midi track
   |- contained synth
The entire folder track can be collapsed to take less space.
A folder tracks mute button could then be used to mute the entire contents.
