It's about an open source translation tool that appears to be compatible with Trados, the tool that Alpha uses. Sounds interesting, and might be very helpful in maintaining consistency, and developing a glossary. Maybe not right now for the GUI, but possibly for help files and documentation.
strong points:
- runs on Java, so virtually platform independent
- works with OOo documents directly
- works with translation memories in TXM format, which is supposedly compatible with most commercial translation tools
