Following Bert forwarding me a mail from Natalie I have had a look at some
of the pages in Natalie's combined review. First of all, I think it's great
somebody is bringing it all together, this can only make things better.
However, it is very upsetting to read the comments regarding the quality of
the translation. I'm not saying we are perfect, but it seems rather harsh.
There is an enormous chunk of the Help we never set eyes on. What is from us
and what isn't? Is all that is found, counted against us?
We would have changed things like:
Please, don't be upset. As I (and probably a few others) understood it,
the Help was, a part from a small part of Writer which was done by the
community, translated by you're company.
After a few problems in the beginning with the building and viewing of
the Help we started reviewing and saw the mess we're having now.
Only about then we understood that you're company didn't see all of it.
Probably the conversion from 1.1 Help to 2.0, from which we understood
that it failed, had us fooled and, since we wrongly assumed that Alpha
was to "blame", some "bold" words were written.
As far as I'm concerned you're "off the hook" and I hope you still will
work with us to fullfill this task. If we have offended you, I
apologise for that, but, as I already stated, we couldn't understand how
we ended up with what we have now and wrongly assumed that it was
provided by you (you're company)
