I'll go an update the Todo since the Chainsaw appender->Receiver model is effectively done, and add an overview of the the features Scott has in his code (since I would vote for those features, however they are implemented). My guess is that the Filtering/highlighting changes should be easy to integrate into the Receiver model approach pretty easily (cross fingers), and perhaps we defer the "whatever the Multiple Tab/Doc/Instance" feature is until the advanced filtering/highlighting is kicking along nicely.
