I'm just a log4j user and havent contributed anything codewise to the
log4j community. Having said that, log4j being a Apache community is
_THE_ reason I want to continue using log4j in the future. There is a
huge comfort in knowing that a project is a part of Apache.

Apache projects has a certain level of quality assurance, and you know
the legal aspects are handled very carefully and correctly. Also the
community tends to survive and evolve over time in a better way than
projects outside of the Apache sphere. Also the absence of a BDFL and
any risk of overwhelming control from a single corporate organization
is of course a good thing.

While I'm at it, thanks guys! And thank you Ceki for starting the log4j
project. Log4j is - still - a great solution to a important issue in
the Java world. Thanks!
