Many of us are casual lurkers as well - I read 'em as I have the time. If my
Yahoo! account is reaching capacity or I am too busy to read, I delete theose
messages not of interest to me by the subject line. 
 That brings up another point - subject lines. If it grabs me and I feel I can
participate, I open it. If the line is too generic or I feel I have nothing to
gain/offer, oh well! Plonk!
